Take your passionate storytelling experience and lead the Corporate Communications, PR, and Social Media functions of an innovative and high growth consumer brand.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll be tasked with planning and executing the company media strategy including overseeing the PR team and strategy, and overseeing all communication touchpoints including press releases, press previews, new collection alerts, brand stories, etc.
You will develop and oversee the budget for Media Relations and Social Media as well as coordinating media events, and managing any crisis communications and responding to sensitive industry and company issues to maintain media trust.
Proactively manage external PR agencies and work cross-functionally with in-house teams including Marketing, Sales, and Product Management.
You’ll prepare talking points and speeches for executives and spokespeople as needed while continuously expanding new media contacts and maintain relationships with consumer and trade press. Additionally, you will write and distribute releases for new product launches, promotions, and company announcements.
You will oversee execution, strategy, and management of social media platforms globally.
What You’ll Need for Success:
- 10+ years managing and launching integrated marketing communications programs for a new brand.
- Experience with a high-growth and innovative consumer brand required.
- Background building and managing teams required.
- Expertise in social trends and platforms, social data analysis, measurement/reporting ROI to senior leadership, and delivering against measurable KPIs.
- Track record working with press, agency/vendor management, and excellent skills in writing press releases and content in clear and consistent brand voice
- Ability to commute to Van Nuys 3 days per week. Relocation available as well.
The base salary range for this role is $175, 000 to $200, 000 with flexibility based on experience. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
