Job Description
Be part of a Global Manufacturing company supporting Accounting in the Operations team.
Join a cohesive accounting team that is very supportive and promotes from within quite often. In this position you’ ll support operations accounting and prepare monthly journal entries while also performing ad hoc accounting assignments and projects.
What You’ ll Be doing:
You will prepare monthly journal entries including price adjustments, rebate, tariff, metal enroute, monthly true up, and perform account reconciliations.
You’ ll need to coordinate closely with plants to perform monthly utility invoice reconciliation and publish reporting analysis.
Communication with vendors is key to resolve any incorrect advance shipping notification transmissions and any payment discrepancies.
You will need to prepare metal price variance analysis, process all mill/vendor claims, lead collection processes, and prepare monthly reporting deck to executives.
Experience You’ ll Need for Success:
- Bachelors in Accounting Is required
- You’ ll need to have at least 5 years in acounting, preferably with 2-3 of those focused in manufacturing or inventory.
- Advanced Excel required and experience with various software such as JD Edwards preferable.
- Ability to work in the Woodland Hills office daily
