Sales Manager, Arcade NY (on-site) with national travel
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range: $90, 000 –$120, 000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all activities within the Sales and Marketing Department to ensure a consistent flow of new projects, enhance customer relationships, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze sales and operational data to project revenue, assess profitability, and identify market opportunities.

Ensure accurate and timely delivery of quotations and customer service communications.

Follow up on quotes with independent sales reps and customers.

Actively participate in customer and independent sales representative meetings.

Address customer concerns through a consultative sales approach.

Provide performance feedback to sales personnel.

Develop sales forecasts and departmental budgets.

Oversee all aspects of quoting including patterns, castings, machining, tooling, and outside services.

Coordinate participation in trade shows and industry events.

Collaborate on strategies for presenting and closing quotes.

Facilitate engineering discussions between internal teams and customers.

Manage project close-outs and conduct financial evaluations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

At least 10 years of experience in industrial sales or manufacturing.

Strong understanding of casting and machining manufacturing processes.

Ability to read technical documents and communicate effectively with customers and reps.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP/MRP systems.

Demonstrated ability to maintain quoting accuracy, customer satisfaction, and effective internal/external communication.

Frequent presence in a manufacturing/foundry setting.

Prolonged periods at a computer;occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of materials.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes required on-site.
