Litigation Paralegal
Position Summary:
The Litigation Paralegal provides critical support to attorneys by managing case documents, preparing legal filings, and ensuring deadlines are met. This role involves a mix of drafting, case organization, and direct client and expert interaction. Works under general supervision with room to take initiative on assigned matters.
Key Responsibilities:

Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence.

Review and analyze case files to identify missing or required documents;coordinate with clients to obtain necessary materials.

Process and review discovery materials, including medical and employment authorizations.

Summarize medical records and organize case evidence and exhibits.

Coordinate and schedule Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs).

Prepare subpoenas and arrange service of process.

Perform electronic filings in state and federal courts (E-filing).

Support attorneys with appellate brief and record preparation.

Communicate with clients, healthcare providers, and expert witnesses on substantive issues.

Track deadlines and support overall case management and file organization.

Perform other billable and administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements:

Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or paralegal certification (required).

1 3 years of relevant paralegal experience, preferably in litigation.
Skills & Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Professional discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
