Job Description
Our client, a downtown Buffalo law firm is looking for a paralegal for their litigation department. They are looking to add to their team to support the personal injury, civil rights, and commercial litigation practice groups. The ideal candidate should be ambitious, hardworking, dependable, and have excellent organizational skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare Pleadings (Summons and complaint)
Document Management
Discovery (Prepare and work with clients to obtain responsive materials)
Motions/Appeals (Prepare affidavits, Notices of Motion)
Management of Medical Records (Collect medical, billing, no fault, worker's compensation, social security, Medicare, Medicaid and prepare authorizations)
Identify potential experts (Coordinate production of materials for experts)
Legal/factual research (Westlaw)
Case/File Management (Interact with clients, prepare budgets, and maintain files)
Depositions (Prepare deposition exhibits)
Pre-Trial/Trial Support (Prepare trial notebook, schedule, research jurors, prepare subpoenas)
Competitive salary and benefits including generous 401k and health insurance benefits.
The base salary range for this role is $50, 000 to $67, 500. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
