Job Description
Legal Assistant, Buffalo, NY- On-site with ability to work from home twice a month
The Legal Assistant role will support lawyers by performing a variety of administrative tasks and legal research. The responsibilities include:
Document preparation: drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents, such as contracts, letters, and pleadings
Communicate with clients via phone and email
Calendaring with various courts, clients, outside counsel
Organization: manage and track multiple cases at once, keeping files, paperwork and schedules organized for attorneys.
Once fully trained, you will be eligible to work from home twice a month.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of legal assistant experience
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail
- Able to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
- Exhibits the highest level of customer service towards clients
The rate for this role is $ 50, 000 -60, 000 per year. This range represents the low and high end of the compensation range for this position. Actual compensation offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
