LMS Implementation Project Manager - 6 Month Contract

Job Description
- Oversees the overall LMS implementation to completion, working directly with the LMS vendor and dealing with any issues that arise.
- The project manager tracks all significant milestones in the LMS implementation process to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Partners closely with Global Talent COE, HRIS, IT Experts, Risk and Compliance Experts, Business and HR Leaders.
- Role reports into Director, Learning and Leadership Development and is part of the Global Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness COE Team.
- Estimated 6 month duration.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Assessment and Planning: Leads business needs analysis and creates business case. Reviews current state.
- Stakeholder Management: Engages key stakeholders to gather, needs, requirements, input and to ensure buy-in.
- Budget and Resources: Determines the budget, required resources, and timelines for successful implementation.
- Vendor Selection & Evaluation: Defines specific features, scalability, support, and integration needs. Research and shortlists potential vendors based on requirements. Manages Request for Proposals (RFPs). Issues RFP to selected vendors and assesses their proposals.
- Leads LMS Customization and Configuration: Tailors the LMS to fit organizational branding, user interface, and specific functionalities. With HRIS, sets up user roles, permissions, and integrations with other systems (if needed).
- Content Migration and Development: Audits and assesses existing learning content for relevance and compatibility with the new LMS. With HRIS, manages transfer and migration of relevant content to the new system or develop new content as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Tests content functionality and user experience within the LMS. With HRIS, manages the approach to system testing and user acceptance testing.
- Training and User Adoption: Develops a comprehensive communications, training program for administrators, instructors, and users. Implements a phased approach for introducing the LMS to users.
- User Support: Agrees with HR the strategy for ongoing support and resources to ensure user adoption and to address any issues.
- Deployment Strategy: Leads the development of the deployment strategy. Agrees the go-live date with stakeholders. Monitors system performance post-launch and escalates issues for support and resolution if needed.
- Evaluation and Continuous Improvement: Gathers feedback from users to identify areas for improvement. Analyzes LMS data to measure effectiveness.
- Knowledge, Skills, Experiences, Competencies:
- Must have technology systems project management, change management experience –able to lead complex projects with cross functional stakeholders. Ability to deal with competing priorities and to manage time appropriately. Able to independently plan work, review results and accomplish goals. Competent in Microsoft Suite, HR Digital Systems and Solutions.
- Must have 5yrs + experience of implementing a global LMS (Ideally multiple times) and managing digital learning management systems, global learning vendors. LinkedIn Learning, Oracle HCM and Cornerstone experience is preferred. Ability to QA and troubleshoot technical delivery issues across multiple platforms and devices.
- Preferred experience: Experience with a content management system (CMS) for building web pages. Experience in Articulate 360, Camtasia Studio, SCORM, HTML5, and Adobe Creative Suite. Aptitude to learn new authoring tools and techniques as needed.
- Teamwork: Experience in working globally and with global technology implementation project teams. Ability to effectively lead cross functional teams and collaborate with diverse, international colleagues in a global cultural environment.

Work Environment:
Hybrid schedule preferred or fully remote if not local. 3 days based at the Global HQ Offices in San Ramon, CA and 2 days based at home or wherever. There could be some limited travel as required by the business and always with notice to help manage any life commitments.
The hourly rate for this role is $48-57/hour. This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
