Our client, an expanding manufacturing and distribution company, is in need of an experienced Payroll Coordinator.  Reporting to the Accounting Manager the Human Resource/ Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for:

All aspects of weekly payroll and files;
Administration of benefits program such as life, health, dental, 4011<, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance;
Develop, establish, and implement policy, procedure and standards;
Advise and provide compliance training for management team and other departments in such areas as OSHA, EEO, ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, PFL, Workers Compensation, Harassment, and other legal areas to ensure compliance;
Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals;
Coordinates managers and supervisors in interviewing, hiring, termination, promotion, performance reviews, safety and sexual harassment
Processes DBL and WC claims;
Processes all hiring and termination paperwork;
Assists with employee coaching and overall employee relations;
Advises Management in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues; Prepares budget of Human Resources operations;
Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services such as temp employees;
Assist Accounting Manager as needed.

The ideal  candidate  will hold  a 2 or 4 year degree  in  Business Administration  or related  field,  along  with 2+ years of payroll accounting  experience.  Excellent  knowledge of federal and  state employment  laws, including  DOL, OSHA, ACA, ERISA,  FMLA,  and PFL.  A strong  hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Office.  SAP and ADP experience  a  plus, but  not  required.  Candidate  must  have  excellent communication  skills,  be highly  organized  and detailed  oriented.
