E-Commerce Operations Manager:
Large retailer seeks an E-Commerce Operations Manager. This newly created position reports directly to a Vice President of Ecommerce. This role will oversee daily website development, execution, support functions, drive implementation of enhancements / third-party solutions, and site optimization. You will manage a team and collaborate regularly with other internal and external resources to support the goal of providing a best-in-class, responsive, mobile-first customer experience. Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily website operations including ongoing development, sprint planning and releases, content execution, site performance, testing, and support.
- Assists in assigning priority levels for development projects and tickets, manage follow-up communication and deadlines, and manage pre- and post-launch quality assurance testing.
- Champions a mobile-first mentality; ensures browser types and breakpoints are considered in the entire site experience.
- Manages a daily quality assurance site check process using custom procedures and third-party solutions to ensure that marketing and commerce execution meets plan and performance standards and expectations.
- Troubleshoots site performance and usability problems/concerns, manage resolutions, provide regular status updates.
- Uses session replay technology to identify friction points and enhancement opportunities to improve consumer engagement, satisfaction, and conversion rates.
- Supports implementing A/B testing to optimize user experiences.
- Supports roadmap planning to introduce new methodologies and solutions that support emerging trends.
Qualifications:
- 4+ yrs experience managing Ecommerce operational/development teams
- Knowledge of Bootstrap, HTML5, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS3, and other modern coding methodologies. You will not be a coder, but need to be familiar w the tools.
- Proven experience in business operations including Agile development lifecycles, execution, and support
- Demonstrated experience with CMS, PIM, ticketing software, and supporting software technologies
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Proven supervisory and management experience
- Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently independently
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners
