Our client is looking for a highly creative, forward-thinking Creative Director to take our creative vision to the next level. The CD will be responsible for elevating visual communications, drawing out big 360 thinking (TV, Print, Digital, Social, OOH, Events, etc.) and influencing top notch executions across all channels. This role is highly visual, hands on and requires a strong creative and art direction.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in beauty/wellness and direct-to-consumer brands. S/he has the ability to think conceptually and transform key insights into compelling creative. In particular, s/he is highly skilled in digital storytelling with a strong understanding of creating intuitive, engaging experiences that prompt consumers to explore, convert and interact.

Responsibilities:
  • Set creative vision and art direction for all brand and marketing campaigns (TV, broadcast, OOH, social, digital, etc.) digital products and experiences, photography, content, events, retail presence, and more
  • Bring ideas to life. Collaborate with Brand Director to visually execute concepts, 360 thinking, activation ideas and design
  • Lead designers in creating solutions that are highly engaging, memorable and different
  • Execute digital storytelling with compelling creative (web, email, social, blog, digital ads, etc.) with the goal of raising awareness through shareable content
  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to constantly find ways to improve the overall user experience and visual presentations of the brand at all customer touch points
  • Collaborate with our Brand Director in the ideation and pitching of multi-platform concepts, that can translate to video, content, social, email, and retail
  • Visually build upon brand and bring to life our story and unique visual aesthetic– particularly via our website, photography, content and retail presence
  • Lead creative strategy across channels with a strong understanding on how components work together as part of the customer journey
  • Cultivate an immensely creative work environment to inspire the best work out of the creative team
  • Work closely with Brand, Marketing, Digital/Tech, Education teams to understand business objectives, consumer insights and data, and proactively contribute strategic and creative ideas
  • Help build out creative team by reviewing portfolios and vetting candidates for creative skillset, experience and potential
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of creative design experience that encompasses digital, interactive, marketing, and brand design
  • Served in a Creative/Art Director role for a well-known, beauty, wellness, and/or direct-to-consumer brand
  • A strong portfolio of work showing creative innovation and breakthrough 360 ideas in broadcast, print, OOH, social, digital, events and retail
  • A deep understanding and interest in our industry and is up to date on pop culture
  • Extensive experience with e-comm and digital/social marketing. Must have a strong understanding of how digital experiences should look, feel and work
  • A thorough understanding of web design/production best practices– functionality, site architecture, navigation, UX, email marketing standards, interactive design principles, packaging, etc
  • Excellent communication skills. Strength building and leading a team
  • Team player, self-starter and strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Flash, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PowerPoint, Keynote, Acrobat, and FTP protocol. Experience in JIRA a plus
  • Must be able to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
