Freight Operations Manager - El Paso, TX –English and Spanish required
The Freight Operations Manager will lead and manage all aspects of the ocean, air freight, and inland transportation and logistics operations. The role will be responsible for overseeing the movement of goods, optimizing carrier relationships, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective freight management. Its strategic leadership and operational expertise will be instrumental in driving success while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Oversee- US El Paso OP team, total 2-3 teammates
Prefer: 10 years of experience in the logistics/forwarding industry, including at least 3 years of team management
Note: Freight operations are different from warehouse operations;we only care about candidates'ocean, air, and US-MEXICO cross-border experiences



Strategic Leadership:
o Formulate and implement both short-term and long-term strategies that harmonize with the company's overarching aims.
o Create and deploy tactical approaches to enhance the efficiency of freight routes, load consolidation, and transportation models that contribute to the company's profitable growth.
Operational Excellence:
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the operation performance.
  • I mplemen t proce sses and procedures that ensure smooth operations, including order processing, tracking, and reporting.
  • o I mplemen t best practices to minimize transit times, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • o De ve lop and maintain documentation of standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • o Ev alua te supplier performance based on key metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • o Ev alua te and implement transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics technology to improve visibility and efficiency.
  • o S t ay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies that can enhance freight operations.
  • C ust om er Satisfaction:
  • o C olla borate with the sales team to understand customer needs and expectations related to freight operations.
  • o E nsu re timely and accurate delivery of goods, addressing any customer concerns promptly.
  • o Monit or a nd oversee freight costs, pinpointing chances for cost reduction, and furnishing
  • fee db ac k to procurement for rate negotiation and route optimization.
  • R is k Mana gement:
  • o I d entify potential risks and disruptions in the freight network and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • o I mplemen t contingency plans to address unforeseen events that could impact operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field;
master's degree is a plus.
Minimum 10 years'experience in freight operations and logistics management, including leadership roles.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and optimize operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Strategic thinking with a deep understanding of the freight industry landscape.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance, and safety standards in freight operations.
