Job Description
Brand Manager – Chicago (5 days on-site in Fulton market area):
The primary responsibility of the Brand Manager is to plan and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing plans with a focus on awareness building, lead generation, and conversion. The Brand Manager acts as the brand' s champion and oversees brand strategy by defining clear brand positioning, identifying opportunities, and developing strategies to increase product and procedure sales. The Brand Manager is responsible for driving product and procedure revenue, profitability, and awareness for respective brands while engaging heavily with sales, customers, and key opinion leaders.
Essential Functions
- Be the subject matter expert in assigned product brands
- Analyze complex industry information to identify opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales
- Develop and articulate competitive positioning and differentiation of brands
- Develop marketing plans in conjunction with Product Managers that outline target customer segments, products, promotions, pricing, positioning, and complete launch plans
- Conceptualizes, executes, and analyzes campaigns that drive meaningful outcomes, such as growth, brand awareness, content creation, and engagement
- Serves as the liaison between creative and marketing communications teams to ensure consistent but optimized, tone and message
- Drives internal analytics and measures the impact of all marketing campaigns and establishes common metrics and benchmarks
- Educate sales and post-sales on new product introductions, competitive advantages, and opportunities to identify sales within their customer base
- Engage regularly with field-based stakeholders to always maintain an open channel of communication to ensure that all internal stakeholders are kept up to date on any and all issues
- Provide comprehensive reporting and analysis, both internally and externally, on brand performance, category performance, industry trends, and market share
- Develops and mentors direct reports through on-boarding, open communication, training, and development opportunities, and performance management processes
- Works with external vendors and third parties to develop and maintain positive relationships. Builds and enhances internal and external partnerships
Skills Required
- Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget and identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
- Experience creating opportunities and leading initiatives that impact ROI and/or an organization' s profitability
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Experience interacting and influencing others at the executive level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Demonstrated financial and business acumen
- Ability to think strategically and analyze information
- Strong willingness to learn
- A great attitude and flexibility towards business and its ever-changing, sometimes ambiguous nature

Education And Experience Required
- Bachelor' s degree and at least 4 years of marketing or advertising experience
- At least 4 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
Supervisory Responsibility
This position may have direct reports and, when required will be responsible for mentoring peers and other departments.
