Assistant Controller - Real Estate

Our client, a major real estate development and construction company in the Buffalo area is looking for a solid hands-on Assistant Controller for all accounting duties. Job responsibilities include a solid computer background and someone to assist in overseeing all day-to-day accounting; monitor and set up a good inventory control system; billing, credit / collections; budgeting, cash management; payroll and financial reporting; do all monthly and quarterly reporting for the company. This position reports directly to the Controller.
We need a solid GAAP accountant with 5 + years related experience and a willingness to do the detail work; this job will be part of the management team and will work with outside auditing firms and managers in other departments. This is an excellent opportunity with a well–established company that is working and essential. Someone with public accounting and multi-state tax experience a big plus!
