Assistant Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer

Our client, a small community organization is in need of a Bank Secrecy Officer.
• Develop and implement BSA, AML, and OFAC regulations, policies and procedures of the branch.
• Report suspicious cases and any issues relating to non-compliance.
• Assist compliance officer with OFAC and SARs searches.
• Monitor AML/Fraud profile daily and record transactions in AML system.
Person would collaborate with their internal and external auditors; review reports, compose business correspondence, and participate in various projects. In addition to complying with applicable state and federal banking regulations, they must follow bank policies, procedures, and guidelines; also must have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills; also should have excellent oral and written communications skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite: must be able to use computer programs specific to their job; person must continuously keep themselves up to date with various banking rules and regulations; may also have to attend conferences relevant to their job.
Our client would like 2-5 years related work experience with a bank or credit union.
Recruitment professional since 1970 with disciplines in accounting / finance, construction management and banking, manufacturing, and human resources. He started in the business with AFCO Personnel Services in 1970 and after two years was appointed manager and then managing partner. He was active with the Niagara Falls & Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, executive committee for the Porter Cup amateur golf tournament and was on the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. He is currently an active member with the Williamsville Rotary Club.
