Accounting Manager OR Senior Accountant
Job Description
Our client, a global leader in developing and manufacturing high-quality additives, compounds, and color masterbatches for the plastics industry, operates 17 manufacturing facilities and 30 sales/distribution subsidiaries across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. They are seeking a Accounting Manager to oversee three of their U.S. Subsidiaries
As Accounting Manager, you will oversee the company's general accounting operations across three entities, managing a team of bookkeepers. Key responsibilities include overseeing financial transactions, cost accounting, business analysis, financial reporting, tax reporting, and ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of all related tasks
Essential Responsibilities:
Pursue general accounting, payables, billing, collection, cost accounting, business analysis, financial reporting, tax reporting, etc.
Analyze and accurately report current month's financial results to the corporate management in accordance with corporate format and time requirements.
Prepare monthly reports of results, monthly forecasts as directed by management.
Submit all financial transactions, transmissions, and reporting on a timely and accurate basis.
Enforce and track accuracy of physical inventory and reported results.
Investigate and explain the book to physical adjustments.
Conclude Monthly commission reports for outside sales and agents.
Reconcile all intercompany accounts monthly.
Assure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Policies. Resolve questions of GAAP and internal controls with management.
Ensure administration of payroll needs are done correctly under local laws and regulations.
Preparing and controlling AR aging and collection.
Reconcile financial and banking information for Subsidiaries as directed by
Management.
Experience
MUST: 5-7 years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry, with an emphasis on cost accounting, taxes, employment, payroll and Financial reporting.
Experience with Paychex software preferred- An Advantage
Experience in local, federal, tax laws and regulations- An Advantage
Competencies:
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Advanced Excel skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments in a team environment.
Experience with ERP system
Education and Training:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business administration an advantage.
