Media Research Planner
Job Description
The Media Research Planner is responsible for conducting comprehensive research and analysis to guide media planning and buying strategies. This role involves evaluating media channels, understanding audience behaviors, and providing actionable insights to optimize media campaigns for maximum effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Market Research:
- Analyze market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitive landscape.
- Gather and interpret data from various sources, including media reports, surveys, and audience metrics.
- Define target audiences and segment them based on demographics, psychographics, and behavioral data.
- Utilize tools and databases to assess audience reach and engagement across different media platforms.
- Develop strategic media plans that align with the client's marketing goals and objectives.
- Recommend media channels (TV, radio, digital, print, etc.) and allocate budgets effectively to maximize ROI.
- Analyze campaign performance data and provide insights on effectiveness and areas for improvement.
- Create detailed reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with media buyers, creative teams, and account managers to ensure seamless execution of media plans.
- Communicate research findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Utilize research tools and software such as Nielsen, ComScore, or similar analytics platforms.
- Stay updated on emerging tools and technologies in media research.
- Monitor and manage media budgets to ensure cost-effective spending.
- Analyze financial reports to track spending against the budget.
- Stay informed about industry trends, media innovations, and shifts in consumer behavior.
- Adapt strategies and recommendations based on evolving trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Media Studies, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in media research, media planning, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in research and analytics tools (e.G., Nielsen, ComScore).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with advanced data analysis tools and software.
- Familiarity with digital media platforms and social media analytics.
- Knowledge of marketing automation and CRM systems.
